From last few days, a new rumor is spreading on facebook which is totally a hoax. After the introduction of facebook timeline feature, users are now thinking that facebook is planning to start membership plan due to new profile changes and following is the message which is circulating rapidly on the wall of facebook users and hope within few hours, you will also see this update on your Facebook homepage, which is totally wrong and you should avoid to share.

” Facebook just released their price grid for membership. $9.99 per month for gold member services, $6.99 per month for silver member services, $3.99 per month for bronze member services, free if you copy and paste this message before midnight tonight. When you sign on tomorrow morning you will be… prompted for payment info…it is official it was even on the news. Facebook will start charging due to the new profile changes. If you copy this on your wall your icon will turn blue and facebook will be free for you. Please pass this message on if not your account will be deleted if you do not pay “

Also, a similar kind of rumor was circulated in the January 2011 where the following is that message and Finally nothing happened.

” Facebook is planning a subscription-based service with monthly fees starting at $0.99 for a basic friendship which allows for the posting of text and just one profile picture. This fee will increase, depending on the number of friends you have, the messages posted and sent, and the pictures/videos/ games put on a user’s page. Keep in mind, facebook is a social networking site which is the best social networking site because of their users and they will never try to make facebook as a paid social networking site. Not just Facebook, any Social networking site will never ask for monthly payment to browse the site from their members.
