Sony Xperia ion launched in India at Rs 36,999

has announced the launch of Xperia ion in India at a price of Rs
36,999. This launch comes soon after the brand brought its line of
mid-range Xperia smartphones - neo L and Go - to India last month.Available in red and black colours, Sony's new flagship Android smartphone has a 4.6" touchscreen that supports HD video. The Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine renders crisp images, without any jagged edges. This device runs on Andorid 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. Sony Xperia ion has 16GB internal memory and supports microSD card up to 32GB.
Sony Xperia ion's 12MP front facing camera can record full HD videos at 1080p@30fps, while the front facing camera supports video calls at VGA resolution. Connectivity options of the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0, 3G and 2G.
The all-new smartphone comes with an exciting offer for Airtel mobile customers. With the Xperia ion, Airtel customers will get 500MB of free 3G data per month for 3 months as well as 200 minutes of Mobile TV for 2 months.
