0 LG Optimus 2X might get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

I would say that it is a story with good and bad things. LG certainly will not enjoy a good feedback after they kept postponing the transition of its phones to Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, the LG Optimus Sol and Optimus Black phones will not enjoy ICS 4.0.

At one moment it was said that even the LG Optimus 2X will not get Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, although we are talking about a smartphone with a Tegra 2 1 dual-core GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, GeForce ULP as a graphics accelerator and 8 GB storage space. There should be no reason why the first dual-core smartphone in the world would not receive this software update. It has the processing power and enough storage space.

LG Canada said that Optimus 2X will not get Android 4.0, but LG South Korea claims that they are working on the update and it will arrive on schedule as announced. It should come in Q3 2012, that would be in a month and a half. It may be that the Android 4.0 will come only on the Optimus 2X from South Korea and internationally not, although we do not see why it would not do porting world wide too.

If there are so many discussions about the 4.0 it officialy does not make sense to think of 4.1 Jelly Bean if you have an Optimus 2X. This negative feedback will be against some of the top phones LG like Optimus 4X HD. It is a great thing to create an positive reputation, and to have your customer base.
